Health Beyond Bars: A Fundraiser and Screening for the Women’s Prison Association

This women’s history month, we invite you to join an important discussion and activation bringing attention to the impact of the carceral system on the lives of Black and Brown women. This event will directly support the financial stability of the Women's Prison Association. WPA empowers women to redefine their lives in the face of injustice and incarceration. Forging pathways toward freedom, safety, and independence.

The evening will begin with a screening of the feature-length documentary, A Woman On The Outside, and follow up with a short Q&A discussion on the impact of incarceration on the lives of women of color.

A Conversation on Pelvic Pain Relief w/ Dr. Ja Hyun Shin, M.D. & Mila Myles

Join us for an evening of education and candid conversations on pelvic health, how to prevent and reduce pelvic pain, and more! Sponsored by Zencape Health hosted by comedian Mila Myles, in conversation with Dr. Ja Hyun Shin, M.D. of Zencape Health, this session of What the Function?! will teach you all about PCOS, fibroids, period pain, endometriosis, and leave room for questions with a licensed health expert.

Pelvic pain is a common condition that affects many people, particularly women, caused by a range of issues, including menstrual cramps, endometriosis, urinary tract infections, and more. This virtual event aims to break down the stigma surrounding pelvic pain and provide attendees with the tools and education they need to manage their symptoms.

This session of What The Function is sponsored by Zencape: Zencape Health is a virtual care platform dedicated to treating chronic pelvic health conditions, through a whole-person, whole-body approach to treatment.
