Womanly is a dynamic, multimedia preventive health visual essay platform focused on communities of color, women, and non-binary folks.
Founded in 2017 by Attia Taylor, Womanly amplifies accurate, accessible health information through art and creative experiences. Our mission is to equip folks with the information they need to understand their health and make empowered decisions about their own care. We are committed to uplifting marginalized voices in our programming, webinars, and social campaigns, which reach over 30,000 people each month.
In December 2019, Womanly Magazine was inducted into the Library of Congress in print and as a part of their digital archives. Womanly has been recognized by Rachel Cargle and The Loveland Group, BeyGOOD Foundation, Brooklyn Arts Fund, the Community of Literary Magazines and Presses, and more. In 2023, Womanly received a Creative Power Award to support work at the intersection of art and social justice.

Womanly x Maryland Institute College of Art (MICA)
In Spring 2021, Womanly partnered with the MICA MFA in Illustration Practice to create a rotating billboard series in Baltimore. The series shared 10 tips for managing your blood pressure.
Womanly x The Sill
We partner with brands to share community and education in real time. Our partnership with The Sill was an evening of drinks, expert plant advice, networking, and education around plants and mental health in Manhattan.
Womanly x Bumble
In honor of Mental Health Awareness Month, Womanly partnered with Bumble, Bulletin, and It's Not Personal to host a discussion in Brooklyn on mental health and dating in the digital age. The conversation was moderated by Kristin Lyons, a New York-based licensed mental health counselor who works with adults and couples.
Digital Residency
The Womanly Digital Artist Residency is a three month residency to create innovative digital educational presentations on preventive health for women and non-binary individuals. We believe in the power of the arts to elevate and illustrate the core value of preventative health. The selected artist collaborates with the Womanly Health team to generate an educational workshop series to provide clear, concise, and applicable educational tools for the communities we serve.
