In Porcelain Reverie, Photographer Jordie Hennigar Reflects on Feminine Form and Objectification Throughout History
Porcelain Reverie transcends time and pay homage to historic paintings while exploring the delicate portrayal of women reminiscent of porcelain figures. Inspired by the artistry of renowned painters throughout history who depicted women as ethereal beings admired for their physical beauty, this project aims to capture the essence of this aesthetic in contemporary photography.
Featuring model and photographer, Kenna Sharp, the project also intends to foster a dialogue between the past and the present, inviting audiences to reflect on the evolving standards of beauty, the objectification of women, and the enduring fascination with the idealized feminine form throughout art history.
