Lately, I’ve been grooving to Y La Bamba and Brittany Howard’s new album. So this track is right on time. Not only is it fun to listen to but STEFA* has provided us with the freedom anthem we so desperately need. The drums and bass work together, helping us dance right into the weekend. Serving as a reminder that we need (and deserve) joy and beautiful dance tracks more than ever. STEFA*'s vocals shine through, backed by a playful yet potent blend of psychedelic layers. And what’s in store is STEFA*’s full length debut album, BORN WITH AN EXTRA RIB. Out on June 28th via Brooklyn-based label, Figure & Ground. The track is written by STEFA*, produced by José Benjamin Escobar, and features Stuart Bogie (Antibalas, Arcade Fire, TV on the Radio) on flute, Miles Francis on drums (EMEFE, Will Butler, Angelique Kidjo), and Nick Jozwiak (Peter Evans’ Being & Becoming) on bass.
